Banquet Information

Our last regular race of the season will be on January 26 (...assuming there is still some snow left ☺). We will have a small End-Of-Race-Season Party at the Hollyburn Lodge following the race. We will make a separate announcement which race we will run next week, as the - originally planned - 4 laps of skate would spoil the party.

To make it as easy as possible for the lodge to provide dinner for a potentially large group, we will pre-order dinner at a cost of $13 plus tax. This will include a hot chocolate, veggie or meat lasagne, a salad, a garlic bread and a crumble for desert.

There will be prizes for participation!

Please:
1. RSVP whether you can make it. (email fraweb(at)telus.net)
2. Indicate whether you will have veggie or meat lasagne.

We hope to see you there!

FAQ

What are these races?

Tuesday night races are designed to be an introduction to racing for those who have never ski raced before. They also act as training races for more experienced racers. EVERYONE is welcome!! The emphasis is on fun and participation.

What time do they start at?

They start at 7:00PM SHARP at the Cypress Mountain Cross Country area. They go rain or shine if the mountain is open. Call ahead to be sure (phone: 419-7669). With the increased participation expected this year, the cut off for registration will be at 6:50PM. An organizer will be in either the wax hut at the ticket booth or the lodge at 6:30PM to sign you up.

How much does it cost?

A twoonie will get you in to each race. $8.00 can be paid at the first or second race until January 1st and will cover you for the entire series. Don't show up at 6:50 with a $20.00 bill and expect to get $18.00 in change! Every skier requires a valid trail ticket.

Results and Prizes

Each year we are fortunate to have many sponsors to support these races. There will be numerous draw prizes donated by our generous sponsors at the banquet.

Other Important Notes

Bibs are provided. Finish times are provided after each race and will be available at Skiingbc.info within a few days if you wish to have your own personal copy to remember the moment. The banquet is included in your participation of these events. Tracking of non racing trail users is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN and will result in immediate disqualification!!! Cypress Mountain is generously allowing us to race on the trails, provided regular trail users are not affected. Be nice out there! Call Cypress Mountain XC at 922-0825 if you have any questions
